Channeling my inner Miranda Priestley from ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ 👠 Here’s a lil peek at what I’ve been working on behind the scenes for a little while now … Bookmarkedbychris’ very first physical Reading Journal. I’ve printed off a mock up and begun making notes on things I want to change, add/remove and tweak slightly. This is still very much in the draft stage so excuse the basic look (it won’t look anything like this once I’m finished…) I’ll update you all on the launch date and further reveals but what I can reveal at the moment is … ⭐️ Hardcover front & Back

⭐️ 200+ pages —— Behind the scenes : I thought it might be nice to explain the process a little while I have you. So it’s not just designing the pages and then printing & binding, I’m doing extensive research into the thickness/quality of paper I want to use along with the binding wire- I’m looking for the best of the best 🤭 I want the pages inside to be thicker than the average notebook so that it minimises any bleed through if using coloured pens but not too thick they feel chunky. I’ll be looking at having some dividers inside and these will be designed and made in house then there’s the journal stickers !! I’m working on journalling stickers to go with the journal ⬇️⬇️let me know if you’re excited to learn more⬇️⬇️

🩸Be Right Back🩸 [AD/ BOOK TOUR] It’s fin

🩸Be Right Back🩸 [AD/ BOOK TOUR] It’s finally time for my spot on the tour - a huge thankyou to @billreadslol @scholastic_uk & @instabooktours for having me ! ‘Be Right Back’ is the highly anticipated sequel to the stab-tastic ‘Let’s Split Up’ - an addictive YA horror that fans of Scream & Scooby Doo have gone feral for (I know I have) The sequel follows the characters and the events a year after book one so without saying too much about it I will say if you loved the first this one will have you hooked! My thoughts- As with all sequels in the horror world, there’s always the worry as a fan that it won’t hold up to the first, and that sometimes the creator (whether it writer, director etc) will go for shock factor over quality.
However, Bill has wonderfully wove the characters into a new dilemma whilst still maintaining the charm that was ‘Let’s Split Up’. Packed with pop culture references and throwbacks, this is a definite nostalgia kick whilst still feeling fresh and honestly so much fun. For me personally, it was a tad predictable but in such a fun way (sorry Bill, but it’s rare a horror gets me, I’m just one of those that guesses the twist) but that being said it definitely didn’t impact my enjoyment and I will urge you all to go in with an open mind as I won’t be saying anymore other than… GO PICK THIS UP! I love the characters and how they continue to develop. Their friendship is goals (minus all the trauma) Publishing 9th October

I sometimes need a kick up the butt to get myself out and about. I need to remember I’m self employed not CHAINED TO MY DESK. I can go for a walk if I want, I can support a fellow small business by grabbing a coffee whilst improving my physical & mental health WHILST STILL WORKING. 🍁September wrap-up… I’ve surprised myself

🍁September wrap-up… I’ve surprised myself at how much I’ve read this month considering I feel like I’ve had a month packed with plans but 8 books read and 1 DNF is definitely a good reading month. Whilst some I loved more than others it definitely shows how the mood affects the enjoyment of a book. Let’s start with the DNF of the month, ‘A Cinnamon Falls Mystery’ started off well for me, I was loving the vibes and the mystery but all of a sudden I’ve lost all interest and I’m bored. A huge Thankyou to the publisher for sending this one my way. I may try pick it up again in the future. You can probably tell I was embracing the autumn reads this month 👀 Our book club pick of the month was Cinnamon Bun Book Store and I really enjoyed that, just an easy cute read but it’s more summer based sadly- very deceiving cover Arcana Academy was the book club pick for The Hidden Stacks (my members only section) and this was honestly a vibe and a half! I adore the characters and magic system. That ending… ugh! Need more asap. ‘Be Right Back’ was an absolute delight and I can’t wait to post my review on October 6th. Thankyou to the publisher for sending this my way. Favourite read of September … Arcana Academy for sure. I can’t stop thinking about it 🤭 ❓ what was your favourite read of September ?
