What to read to prepare for ACTOAR 6
Share
As we all know by now, Sarah J Maas FINALLY announced new books ! We are finally getting new books in the ACOTAR ( A Court Of Thorns And Roses ) series. I say this lovingly of course, as yes we've waited a while now, but I wholeheartedly believe it will be so worth the wait. Just like what we got with the third instalment of the Crescent City series. " House Of Flame And Shadow" was EVERYTHING I wanted and more!!
But with ACOTAR 6 releasing in October, we are officially one a countdown. What do we need to re-read to get ready for it?
Reading all 16 books in the MAAS-VERSE may seem a bit drastic... and it may just be a tad too much. So let's run through what I think you need to re-read to be ready for the new books.
Spoilers ahead for the entire 3 series - please read on with caution!!
Full transparency here, I will be re-reading them all but not because I feel like it's needed, but because I really want to experience these worlds again for the fourth time.
My highly recommended re-reads are as follows for those that just need a refresh in time for the new releases.
ACOTAR
I would recommend reading all 5 of this series to ensure all of Prythian is fresh in your mind. If you don't think you will have time for the full series. I think A Court Of Silver Flames is a MUST! This will refresh the Nesta/Cassian storyline along with Feyre's pregnancy and the whole Dreaded Trove arc
CRESCENT CITY
I think you will only have to read A House Of Flame And Shadow for the interconnecting storyline between Bryce & members of the Inner Circle from The Night Court. I think whilst we won't get a direct connection between these characters again, I think there will be a lot of references to events that happen in HOFAS. The first two in this series I wouldn't class as essential unless they are still fresh in your mind.
THRONE OF GLASS
As much as it pains me, I don't think we will need to re-read this amazing series. My personal favourite of the three...
I think we won't get a direct connection/crossover with this series so I don't think it will be necessary. It would be truly epic if I was wrong.
We did get that neat little reference to Brannon's fire and his decendant, Lydia in CC3 but I don't see that connecting yet. Maybe it was just a nice little easter egg for the next crescent city book and maybe that's how we will get a connection back to TOG.

What do you think we will get in the new instalments... hit me with your theories, couple ships ... EVERYTHING!
