A refreshing and interesting take on a Police procedural crime thriller with a sci-fi twist.
I genuinely couldn’t put this down. It had exactly what I love in a thriller minus one thing (gory detail)

Kat & Lock had a great dynamic with some humour thrown in which was a nice touch from the author to lighten the tone slightly. There was some heart warming moments in this which is rare for me to find in a thriller but again, refreshing.
The plot had me very interested throughout and I gasped at one of the reveals (because I guessed it but it still shocked me)
I liked how the side characters actually felt relevant to the story and weren’t just there for the sake of it.
I’m not a lover of sci-fi but I really enjoyed the AI detective aspect to help the police, finding it relevant to the world we live in today and where the technology could go. Lock interacting with Kat & the world was interesting.
I will definitely be continuing this series. It has me wondering where it will go.
