138 Main Street by Gavin Bell
⭐️⭐️⭐️.75
I was captivated by the high stake cat-and-mouse dynamic of hunting a serial unaliver (it’s my favourite) but at times I felt a little disconnected to the plot and they were suddenly revealing things that I just felt were rushed (I may have just zoned out - but that isn’t exactly great for a story either, if I’m zoning out something is a miss)
I didn’t connect with the characters and was completely in this book for the plot, it was great!
I enjoyed the suspense of it all and the potential victims that are introduced, it really added to the suspense and danger of the serial unaliver.
I would have loved more in the moment unalivings rather than fade to black. This would have easily brought my rating up as I prefer a little bit of darkness to my thrillers.
I would definitely recommend this to thriller lovers looking for an easy fast paced story with a great plot, high stakes & great suspense.
A huge thank you to the team over @likely_suspects for sending this across !
